Grant-Making Guidelines
Goals and Strategies
- Our goal is to allocate financial resources directly to those underserved populations who cannot find assistance through traditional channels
- By providing assistance to people as they face the everyday challenges of their lives, we are able to direct our giving and allocate dollars where they can have the greatest impact
Please review our grant guidelines and strategies, as well as our areas of interest to see if your needs match our funding parameters.
How to Apply
- For consideration, all requests must be submitted as formal applications and must meet the established criteria as set out in and areas of interest
- A formal postcard, letter or e-mail message will promptly acknowledge receipt of a request
- Applications that do not meet the funding criteria or submission requirements will be immediately denied or directed to re-submit through a formal letter or e-mail
- Incomplete applications or any requests without the necessary documentation cannot be considered
- The submission of referrals and applications do not guarantee funding or support
- Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, except for those special projects that are seasonal
- Please allow 30-90 days for final notification, as award selection meetings are scheduled with Board meetings
- In special instances, the board may convene a meeting to review emergency requests and will notify applicants in such cases
- All applicants will be formally notified of request approval or denial; approved funding may require final reports and/or funding evaluation on a case-by-case basis
- All applications should include supplemental documentation to verify needs
- Please contact our office if you are unsure of what to include
All potential applicants are encouraged, prior to submitting an application or referral,
to contact the Share A Smile office to
