General requests can include:
- Medical needs and assistance for terminal illness and catastrophic circumstances
- Emergency needs and short-term bill payment for monthly or unexpected expenses
- Children in need
- Referrals from medical professionals, social workers and program directors for financial assistance to directly support their clients
Specific annual requests can include:
- Holiday events for children
- Winter warmth fund that provides winter weather clothing and supplies for children
- Additional supplies for children in qualified school districts
There may be times that we can provide discretionary funding for new projects that may seem to fall outside our grant-making focus but that will ultimately impact the areas of interest, including:
- Supplemental grants and/or matching gifts
- Community partnerships. In special instances we may accept proposals for funding from agencies creating new or enhanced direct client services if they fall into areas of funding
- Scholarships for academic-based summer camps
Exclusions:
We do not generally fund other 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or their established programs unless a case can be made that the funding is directly impacting or supporting only the clients. We also discourage applications for any type of operating support or capital campaigns.
