2006-2007 Fiscal Year
Winter Warmth Fund
Begun in 2004, this project provides children in qualified schools with warm winter coats, hats and gloves. During December 2006, Share A Smile
adopted nine elementary schools in the greater-Flint Michigan area, providing 519 students with coats.

Adopt a Family Holiday Project
A completely volunteer-powered project, twenty-nine families were adopted in December 2006 by Flagstar Bank associates and their families in Troy,
Jackson, Canton and Atlanta Georgia. Approximately 400 volunteers gave their time, caring and resources to make the holidays full of hope and
happiness for area families.
We thank our corporate sponsors for this project: Maple Lane Florists in Clawson, Michigan Valley Homes Inc., and Kent Motors.
Holiday Party
In December 2006 Share A Smile and its volunteers hosted and facilitated a holiday party for mothers and children at the Haven in Pontiac.
Approximately 20 families enjoyed delicious food, a visit from Santa, cookie decorating and gifts for children and moms.
Women in Transition
Share A Smile continued its efforts to seek out and assist women transitioning back into the work world or return to school following
divorce or economic hardship. This program provides grants and scholarships on a case by case basis to provide financial assistance and offer hope for
a successful new begining to these women in transition.
Summer Camp Scholarships
During summer of 2006 Share A Smile again provided scholarships to cover full tuition for the talented and gifted academic based camp for seventh
and eighth graders at Michigan State University. Share A Smile works with MSU to identify children who have been accepted to the camp but are unable
to pay.
